An almost nightmare ending to a perfect day
So today was such a perfect day. The weather was beautiful, 70 degrees, overcast, awesome. The boys and I went to the park and then we had a picnic lunch on the grass at our house. Benji took his nap and when he woke up we went to Red Mango (I can't get enough of that place) with Grandma and when we got back we were outside again. Then all of the sudden I hear Benji just crying and yelling. Dave brought him over to me and then he was saying owie. We couldn't figure out what was going on, but soon realized that his left arm was pretty limp and when we tried to lift it Benji would yelp in pain. We rushed him over to the instacare, where we try to figure out what was going on. The only bright spot was the doctor reminded me of Johnny Depp in Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. He was serious and then he would do that high pitched giggle. It was hilarious and I loved it. Well we had Benji's arm x-rayed and it was clean. He was pretty much going to send us home to ice Benji's arm and wait for it to heal thinking it was probably pulled muscles or something. All of the sudden Dave blurted out "Could his elbow be dislocated?", thinking he was actually asking about his shoulder. The doctor tried to rotate it back in place and thought it hadn't done a thing and sent us on our way. We walked out the door of our exam room and then low and behold Benji's arm is working again, no pain, nothing. We proceed to thank the doctor, since he was sitting right there and I proceeded to thank Heavenly Father for letting Dave's tongue slip, a little miracle if you ask me. So Benji is in bed resting peacefully, as I should be, and things are back to normal, all things horrific basically forgotten to a two year old.
