"What happened to you?"
So yesterday I thought I would be really cool to reshingle our overhang on our house. I got up there and started tearing off the old stuff. It was looking nasty (the shingles and roof). I started on one end and the underneath stuff looked good and solid, I made my way half way down and noticed there were a lot of ants, like a bazillion or two and they started climbing all over me and you know I went crazy trying to get them off, (anyway I finally figured out how they were getting into my upstairs bathroom). I kept going and all of the sudden I get this sharp sting in my head. It goes away momentarily and then it hits again. I thought for sure I was being eaten alive by ants. I ran down the ladder as fast as I could, (which isn't very fast when you're trying to be careful) I ran into the house up the stairs and hurried and took a shower. Meanwhile it feels like there are bugs crawling all over me, (you know how your mind can play tricks on you) and finally I felt good again. So I was washing my hair and felt this lump of something and I pull it out and it's a bee. I got stung by a bee, I couldn't believe it. I asked Dave to finish up outside for me and he found a wasp nest and other bees nests I guess. I didn't even see them. Anyway the roof is a mess on the back half due to water damage, it's going to take a lot more work than I had anticipated and I have two kids to boot. It took us all day yesterday just trying to put a slant on the front of the house because it was flat and we only got half way done on that. It's going to be a big project. I just wish I didn't have kids sometimes so I could get things done, but I do and it's fun, but yeah I never get anything done. I hope to finish sometime, it's really fun, but yeah way more work than I had anticipated. Now today I have a huge bump on my head from the bee and it really itches. Luckily it's near my hairline so no one notices, although it would be cool if they did then I could tell them my awesome story when they ask "What happened to you?"
