So Dave had the day off and we went back to the zoo. The zoo is huge and we still haven't seen the whole thing. We probably could have pulled it off if the food courts were open (not in season), so we had to leave at 2 to find some lunch. We went to Fuddruckers, for some strange reason we eat there a lot. I guess we like it and we know the kids like it (it is so hard finding places where the kids enjoy eating). Then we went to the Gallery of American Art and Portraiture. I really liked this art gallery. There were some really cool pictures of people, old times and recent. In fact when you first walk down this one hall the picture there is a huge picture of LL Cool J. It's bigger than Abraham Lincoln or any one else really, I just found that amusing. Then upstairs on the 3rd floor they have some contemporary pieces. Those were probably our favorites. There was a map of the U.S. made out of tv's and neon lights. Each state was made up of several tv's of different shapes and sizes playing clips that are unique to them. It was all so bizarre, but in a good way (if that makes sense?). Then we went and got some yummy cupcakes at Red Velvet Cupcakery. So yummy (we really had to go because it was a block away from the Art Gallery). We were exhausted by the time we got home, which means it was a really great day. I really love having Dave around for our adventures. It makes me much less stressed and for some reason James listens to his daddy (I know the reason really, I am a pushover when it comes to him, second child, baby syndrome is alive and well in my family, and he knows how to take full advantage of mommy).
