Mt. Vernon

So today we made the trip out to Mt. Vernon, VA., the home of our first president George Washington. Dave really wanted to see it and I was lucky enough to see it last time we were here, but I'm glad I got to go again. It was such a beautiful day 70+ degrees outside, a slight breeze every now and then. The countryside is beautiful and peaceful and quiet, well except for those birds chirping (which I love the sound of). Spring is definitely in the air and I am so excited to get home and tend to my little plot of land. I'm not sure what we'll do tomorrow, pack for one thing, but while I'm glad to be going home (because I miss it so much) I am going to miss the new friends I made here and the joy I have found through the tough times. Our family has definitely grown, a little more out than up, but stronger. I feel like we've grown a lot closer and James is finally listening to his mommy, because mommy has had to take the time to teach instead of letting him run around willy nilly. (I am definitely still learning how to be a parent)

James has become quite the show off and pulls some of the best expressions. He is priceless.

Me and Benj hanging out taking a break after walking around for 3 1/2 hours. Isn't my grown up baby so cute?

Dave was sitting there posing so I had to get this shot in (Don't you think he was begging me to take a picture with a pose like that?)
