Staycation Day 2

HILL AEROSPACE MUSEUM
(FREE)
I haven't been to the museum since I was little and went with my dad and the scouts. They have added so much, 2 new warehouses full of aircraft. It was so fun especially seeing James get so excited (planes are his favorite). While we were there we witnessed several fighter jets flying by (LOVE, LOVE, LOVE). It also gave me a deeper appreciation for our Air Force and all they do to protect our country and our freedoms. For lunch we stopped off at Famous Dave's (hence the signage). Good eats were had by all and this time I didn't feel like I ate a gut bomb.
ANTELOPE ISLAND
($9, not too shabby)
After that we drove down the road to Antelope Island. In all the years I have lived here I have never been. It is a beautiful little place. Lots of wild life. We saw bison, antelope (or cantaloupe as James called them), and a coyote. We went to the Ranch where the first settlers came back in 1848. That was like a cool little oasis. They had a farmhouse that has been there 131 years. It was just a great little place to be. My favorite by far on the island. They started out with cattle then went to sheep then back to cattle. You do a self guided tour and they have a pamphlet telling you about each section of the property. It was most amazing to me how well preserved it was. Another great thing, was watching Dave try to lasso a faux bull...
Lastly we stopped off at one of the beaches, but we stayed for like two seconds because there were lightning storms. It was a good thing too because when we got 4 miles down the road there was a sudden flash followed by an instant crack. Scared me, almost lost...something.
Day 2 was a really great day, now for tomorrow's adventures.
