My mom and I canned some salsa yesterday and some more jam. It feels so good to put things up. I seriously have not been to the store for 3 weeks. I am so thankful for food storage. We have had no eggs, milk and we are running out of meat but we have been able to survive. I think we might have to get us some chickens soon to cover the eggs. We are lactose intolerant so I am going to have to stock up on some rice milk or soy milk that can be stored on a shelf and then some more meat. Then we could become self sufficient at least for a little while. This is so much fun, to know we could survive, for a few weeks anyway.
