James beats his own drum...I'm not even sure it is a drum. He has to do his own thing. He has been taking swimming lessons all summer. The teacher tells him to lean back and kick off from the wall so he goes forward then does a twist in the water. He listens but hates to do exactly what anyone tells him. He has his own ideas and there is nothing anyone can do about it. He is so determined. The teacher says no putting your head under water and stay on the step so as soon as she isn't looking his head is under water and he's jumping off the step. When it's his turn he doesn't follow either he has to do the biggest jump off the stairs and goes away from his teacher. So frustrating, but no matter how much I try to talk to him or threaten him or anything to him he is unresponsive. He has his own mind.
