Hey everyone,
Just got home from the hospital and wanted everyone to know we delivered a beautiful baby boy last night March 30, 2008. He weighed 7 lbs. 7 oz., 19 1/2" long born at 7:02 pm. Yesterday I started having contractions at 9 am and went to the hospital around 1:30. They admitted me I was at 4 cm. Then about 3 hours later they checked again and no progress. The doctor broke my water and they gave me pitosin to increase the frequency of the contractions. I immediately asked for an epidural because after my water broke last time is when it really started to hurt. So about what seemed like an eternity the anesthesiologist finally came in. The nurse checked one more time and I was still a 4 but much thinned out. Fifteen minutes later there was immense pressure and pain. I couldn't figure it out so the nurse came in and checked again, I was fully dilated and ready to go. It took 3 rounds of 3 pushes and out popped James. It was the quickest labor ever. I loved it, except for the fact that it was way more painful than last time as far as pushing was concerned, but since it was so quick I can't complain. I'm not sure I'm ready to handle two little boys, but I'm glad I didn't have to stay in the hospital any longer. Although I'll probably wish I had. I hope all of you are doing well. We love you and appreciate having you a part of our lives.
Love,
Heidi, David, Benji & James
